League coaching for low-Elo players

Low-Elo coaching is most useful when it reduces the number of things you are trying to fix. Start with repeatable lane, recall, objective, and positioning decisions before chasing advanced strategies that rarely decide your current games.

Your rank is not a reason to accept generic advice. It is a reason to choose a smaller number of clear rules and verify them against your own replay.

What should low-Elo coaching focus on?

Focus on decisions that occur in many games. Early deaths, poor recalls, missed farm, late objective movement, unsafe side-lane paths, and fights without key cooldowns create more value than a rare mechanical trick.

The exact priority depends on your role and replay. A top laner may need wave and Teleport planning. A support may need safer vision timing. A jungler may need clearer sequencing before objectives.

Why generic advice fails

‘Farm more,’ ‘die less,’ and ‘watch the map’ describe desirable outcomes. They do not explain the trigger, timing, or alternative action you need during a real game.

Replay evidence makes the advice specific. It can show which wave you stayed for, which missing enemy made the path unsafe, or which cooldown made the trade favorable.

A simple improvement routine

Review one representative game. Choose one recurring decision. Write a short rule you can recognize during play. Practice it for three to five games, then check another replay for the same situation.

  • Keep the rule observable: describe what you can see before acting.
  • Keep it small: one new decision is easier to recall under pressure.
  • Keep evidence: compare the rule with the replay instead of relying on memory.
